sweets, swimming & bedrooms

we just got back from a long weekend at the great wolf lodge.
it was a blast.

the kids burned off lots of excess energy,
and i got to walk around in flip flops for a few days!

the kids favorite part of the trip
(besides the hot tub)
was the yummy sweets.



and yes, garrett designed a shirt for the special occasion.
so did ryan, but thankfully he wanted
to wear a sweatshirt most of the time.

and what's a trip to the great wolf
without some water pictures??

well turns out good pool pictures are hard to come by
when you're supposed to be keeping track
of 4 kids in the water :)

the first night we skipped the "story time by the clock tower"
in favor of the short line for ice cream :)
but we went the 2nd night,
and the kids loved it.

personally, i still can't figure out
what the trees & squirrels are singing about.

and in the hopes that it is almost spring,
the kids designed their own crocs.
i hope spring comes soon because we're tired of boots!!

and finally, perhaps the BEST part of the trip...

the kids had their own "kid cabin"



they definitely didn't all sleep in there all night,
BUT
it was a great place to for them
to keep all the stuff they brought :)

and if you've ever had kids in a hotel room
you know what i mean!!!
