i'm slightly ashamed to admit it
but this weekend we finally put up pictures of josie
AND
we finally put up some current (non-baby) pictures of ryan

i obviously take plenty of pictures
i'm just not to good at getting them from my computer to frames

i just have to laugh
by the time olivia was a few weeks old-
we had a gazillion pictures of her all over the house :)

all of a sudden...

my little baby looks so big!

saturday we spent the day at a museum
we checked out the new dinosaur exhibit
we saw a planetarium show
we rode the carousel*
and finally, we dined on yummy ice cream sandwiches
what a fun day!!


*when ryan says he wants to ride on the lion - he really means it
it doesn't matter if the lion is one of those silly unmoving carousel animals
perhaps if i knew how important the lion was,
ryan wouldn't have had to cry the first half of the ride

no the bribe has not worked yet

yes i'm still her favorite person - at least 5-6 times a day :)

the result...
1 very tired person that had to stay awake and watch american idol while wishing we hadn't canceled our tivo subscription for our upstairs tv.



*they tasted nothing like the flintstone vitamin taste i was hoping for -
when your kids says they taste bad, they aren't kidding!!!!

elle's party

this weekend we went to chicago to celebrate little elle

the shower was beautiful
she got some super cute things -

she's going to be one stylin' girl this summer!

we love you elle :)

disney, high flyin' buzz & an unfortunate costume

the past few years we've gone to disney on ice
this year we were excited to bring josie-

she was just an itty bitty baby in the hospital when we went last year

overall it was a really good show

the theme was 100 years of disney

the olivia, garrett & ryan loved seeing all of their favorite characters

josie alternated between being crabby and enjoying the flashing lights

i quickly realized she's gotten way, WAY too big to nurse in a cramped stadium seat

the good news is that we didn't get into a car accident like last year!

we also realized that a zoom lens totally rocks!
