the great chicago flood of 2008*
ALL weekend it rained...
race day was no exception
thankfully the freezing horizontal rain didn't start until
we had made a turn so it could be at our backs!
one lady on the sidelines called it "tailwind ike" - indeed
the last few miles my running skirt was so wet that i could feel it sagging lower & lower
now that's wet!!!
crowds were pretty sparse due to the lovely weather, but we had a great cheering section!

yuck. my worst fear is to have a race in the rain! i'll take heat and cold before rain any day. i did a 3 miler this am (5 30am) and it was misting. i almost walked back inside and skipped it but seeing i was up - i went anyways. even mist gets you pretty wet when your out there for a 1/2 hr! more power to you! congrats!!! a bit different running with guys than the ladies??
oh no, how awful! but you should be even more proud that you finished. :)
