what are you like these days?
well...

you love babies & strollers -
and the babies definitely need to wear their hats
and the blanket needs to be drapped just so on the stroller.

you are getting more & more particular
about which outfit or coat you want to wear.

you insist on putting your coat, hat & boots away
the moment you walk in the door -
can you teach the other kids that, please?

you love putting everyone's dirty clothes in the laundry basket.
you can name the owner of each piece of laundry that gets folded.
you are awesome at emptying the dishwasher.
yes, you are our little helper!

you love your sippy cup, cereal & chocolate.
you would rather be outside,
and you pretty much want to do anything the "big kids" are doing.

last week the kids had a day off of school
and lots of energy to burn.

so...

the boys had a little too much fun in the "boxing ring" -
the trampoline this summer could be quite interesting!

sometimes in january (part 2)

sometimes in january,
it's hard for 3 year old to wait for spring.

and sometimes in january,
a 3 year old can sneak outside dressed like this...



and sometimes in january,
you can end up with a not so happy 3 year old.

sometimes, in january --

you just have to go play outside.

because if you don't
you might go crazy!!!!

milestones

with kids there are always milestones.
and those milestones mean they are growing up.

sometimes that makes me sad...

but sometimes it makes me HAPPY!!!!

this was ALL josie's decision,

dear kids...

it's the night of jan 1, 2010
and 3 of you are having a slumber party together.
it took you a while to fall asleep.
lots of talking, laughing, calling for a parent because someone
accidently kicked someone in the face...the usual stuff.

you're pretty much clueless to what a "new year" really means.
to you, it's just january.
christmas is over and you'll be back to school soon.

but for us,
it's the realization that we've been a family for 10 years {wow}.
first just the 2 of us,
then all of you guys in span of 5-1/2 years {wow}.

it's been a crazy ride.
a fun ride.
a busy ride.
a happy ride.
{a ride we want off sometimes - think car trips - ha ha!}
but overall a ride we are lucky to be on.

so keep sleeping kiddos.
next year your slumber party will be a little more crowded
as josie realizes you're all having fun without her!

enjoy being silly and crazy in 2010.
even if you are clueless as to what another year means,
just know that we love you.
