belated news
some big, BIG news at our house from this weekend...
saturday olivia got her ear's pierced.
she was soooo excited.
right away she wanted to call people and "spread the word" :)
well we got home and found plenty of excitment there, too.
this fall we bought garrett a 16" bike thinking it'd last for many years
and we'd get our money's worth.
while that's probably going to be true,
it is too big for us to remove the training wheels
and have garrett learn to ride.
so while olivia was picking out her new set of earrings,
tim bought garrett a 12" and garrett learned right away.
everyone was excited except for olivia.
when she got home and realized her 4 yr old brother had learned
before she did... well let's just say there was some drama & tears.
but peer pressure is powerful--
olivia was riding w/o her training wheels
in a matter of about 5 minutes.
not to be left out,
ryan realized he didn't have a bike like the other kids.
one more trip back to the store and ryan had a bike.
{it was only $25 - how could we pass that up?}
and the bonus...
"do you want to lose your bike today?" works like a charm :)
